Course Description:
This course will examine the ethical implications of Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical (Laudato Si': On Care for Our Common Home) on the environment. Major ethical theories will be discussed as they pertain to the document. Special attention will be devoted to passages in the encyclical that pertain to business practices. Students will be evaluated by participation in the class and multiple short papers.
