Course Description:
Business is a powerful institution. Can it be used to address issues such as climate change and support the common good? Can business work with other sectors to help build a world that works for everyone? We will explore these and other questions through the lens of the Global Commons?those sets of shared resources upon which we depend for life. The biggest commons of all?the atmosphere and climate?is now under threat and business needs to be part of the solution. In this course we will look at issues relating to the commons, discuss the role of business in relationship to the environment, examine entrepreneurial innovations to address climate change, and learn from a diverse and interesting group of guest speakers.
